Ryan grew up in Ohio and moved to Florida in 1981. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned the Scholar-Athlete award for his studies in Business & Finance while playing third base for UNC's 1989 College World Series baseball team.
After college graduation, Ryan's grandfather encouraged him to pursue professional golf. His drive, dedication and commitment resulted in playing 14 years on the PGA Tour competing against the best players in the world, including Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Nick Faldo, Fred Couples and Tiger Woods.
In 2008 Ryan transitioned his career to financial services. Today Ryan is an experienced financial advisor focusing on investment management, retirement income planning, insurance, and estate transfer strategies. The opportunity to help others develop financial strategies to achieve their goals is a career he deeply enjoys.
Ryan has been asked to speak at national industry conferences, radio shows and colleges. He has earned ACE Honors each year he's been affiliated with JHFN and was the nation's #1 Best In Class Advisor in 2012.
Ryan is married to his wife Angela and they have a Labrador Retriever named Mandy. He still enjoys golf, playing tennis, snow skiing and is involved with several charities including Place of Hope, St. Jude's and The First Tee.
